Only when a waddling, wide-eyed Dogen appears muttering "oh no's" around the corner does it happen. who's hoofing it at top speed with Chops before the amount of Campers becomes too much to properly identify them.

Then a stampede of children appear, Clem and Crystal leading the pack while laughing hysterically, a hysterically sobbing Elka reaching for J.T. *Before Sasha can deliver the question, the sounds of furniture crashing, panicking children and also the laughter of children reach him. Kitty: *From behind a tree thirty feet away* " SHE'S DOING IT AGAIN!" Sasha: " What appears to be the problem, children?"įranke: " It's that creepy, gross, totally and completely disgusting bug lady again!" Kitty: *Runs away shrieking at the top of her lungs*įranke: "Kitty, no, wait, I'll save-" *Runs into Sasha Nein* So while QA gives Taylor the preset ability to work with insects, maybe Taylor will really expand on that into terrifying new territory. Taylor's Shard is most likely the most psychic part of her and then some but perhaps (since we know psychics are real here) that a requirement for triggering is latent psychic potential, enough to make a person a Psychonaut (I have in my head the image of Merlin dressing as either Gandalf or Yen Sid daily and the populace of the world just avoiding the crazy man on general principle, even as there's probably no finer gentleman than the Psychic Sorcerer ? ). Worm, supposedly right after the locker? Outside of psychic shenanigans I'm not quite certain how Taylor wound up on Earth Psycho but the potential's insane, no matter how you play it. Point being that I see a Pyschonauts crossover, it's immediately watched. I could go on, but this isn't a review of the game. The gameplay's fantastic with a decent learning curve that neither trivializes or exacerbates anything (well, until the Meat Circus anyways then it's just " Forgiveness? F O O L I S H M O R T A L !!! Perish."), you feel accomplished unlocking all the various abilities, the level design is fucking phenomenal to the point where other people should have been taking notes (The Milkman Conspiracy? Lungfishopolis?), the characters unforgettable, the dialogue being downright perfect. while managing to capture some of the horrors of the world just as easily. A cartoonish, fun art-style that manages to stick with you as friendly and welcoming.

Perfect, atmospheric soundtrack (Whispering Rock Psychic Summer Camp itself invokes nostalgia on at least two different levels while managing to perfectly encapsulate those fun, easy, slow summer days but underline it all with just enough foreign, unknowable menace to remind you this is the camp of the Angry Psychic Bear who'll bitch-slap you if you get too brave). Oh there's challengers of course (I mean how can you look at games like either Red Dead Redemption, the first The Last of Us, The Talos Principle, etc.), but the original Psychonauts (I own the second, I've just yet unfortunately had the time to play it hopefully the chance will present itself before the end of the year, lol)? It had everything. So I'm definitely looking forward to this! Psychonauts is, without a doubt, my favorite game across any system and has remained that way since its release.
